Tips for a good night's beauty sleep

As a busy mum with lots to manage your minutes are precious. Especially during the first 12 months after birth, when your baby starts to hit more interactive key milestones. By now your little one will be continuing to feed during the night, but be about to start weaning. As well as becoming more active through picking up small things, trying to sit up by themselves, crawling and starting to stand by holding onto furniture.
With little time in-between juggling the joys of motherhood, work, errands or catching up with family and friends - it's no wonder that the luxury of sleep has fallen to the bottom of our daily ‘to do list'. Feeling too frazzled and unable to relax can impact the quality of your sleep and the appearance of your skin.
Taking a moment to unwind and switch off before heading to the land of sweet dreams, can be a beneficial process in achieving optimal sleep and improved skin rejuvenation. Here's skin care brand Olay's advice for helping to get a better night's sleep - so you can wake looking and feeling refreshed and ready to fully enjoy baby!
Unwind and switch off for quality sleep
It's not just the number of hours of sleep that's important – it's the quality of those hours. To help relax switch off technology a minimum of 60-90 minutes before you get into bed. Try to keep all technology out of the bedroom and not watch TV in bed. If you're still feeling overwhelmed and your mind is racing with thoughts of what needs to be done the next day, make a list of everything. Try using paper so that you can see clearly what needs to be done rather than holding it in your head, this can help relax you and improve the quality of your sleep.
Why sleep is important for skin
When it comes to your beauty routine, sleep may be the closest thing there is to a fountain of youth, as your skin naturally repairs itself and recovers while you snooze.
Boosting your beauty sleep
Before slipping under the covers make your sleepy-time work harder for you, by giving your skin a little help along the way with a moisturiser like Olay Regenerist 3 Point Age-Defying Night Cream. This multi-tasker is designed tohelp re-energise the skin's appearance while you sleep - for beautifully hydrated, younger looking skin in the morning.
