You’ll find endless inspiration in addition to the meanings and origins of your top picks. Plus, we’ve designed this tool to be easy to use so you can have fun while finding the right name. Simply select your desired filters such as baby gender, unisex names or even choose amongst our top themes and let the tool do the work for you.

Whether you’re a book lover or a fan of mythology, want a cute name or one inspired by nature, you’re sure to find an option that’ll fulfil your heart’s desire. This tool will help you find the right name for your little one(s) no matter where you are in parenthood – or at the very least a list of top contenders!

    1. Select some filters to get the results you’re looking for.
Start by setting the gender of your baby, or select both boy and girl if you’d like to be shown names of both genders.

Next, choose some themes—if you’d like to. For example, maybe you’re looking for a name that has a royal ring to it, or a name that fits within a certain theme like nature, mythology, or a specific colour.

Then, set the name origin. For example, you might like to see only English and Spanish names.

You can also choose to only see names that start with a particular letter, or a name that is either very short or super long.

You can choose as many filters as you’d like! The more filters you select the more names you’ll see, but by setting some filters, our baby name finder will be able to give you more of the names you’d like, and fewer of those that won’t make the shortlist.

    2. Browse the names our Baby Name Generator automatically reveals.
Once you have the list of names that match your filters, you can sort the list by popularity or alphabetical order.

    3. Save your favourite names.
Once you’re signed in, you can star all of the names you love. Starring the name will save it to your profile, so that you can easily create a shortlist of names you love.

  • For example, check out the most popular names for boys and names for girls, in case one is a winner for you. Or take a look at some great rare names—we’ve collated a list of unique boy names and unique baby girl names.

If you’re not sure whether you’re having a boy or girl, finding a name can feel even harder. Why not look at some unisex names to hedge your bets.

One popular naming idea is to name your little one after a loved member of the family. For example, perhaps you’d give your daughter your mother’s name, or give your son your partner’s father’s name. Read up on naming your child after a family member.

Alternatively, you might find the perfect name on our list of old-fashioned baby names. Or for a classic name inspired by nature, check out these irresistible floral baby names.

For a symbolic and more unusual name, why not look to the heroes of ancient Greece? A word of advice: If you’ve found a mythological name that you love the sound of, just be sure to check you also like its meaning before you commit to it!

Having twins? Check out this article with over 100 twin pair names including those that rhyme, names that start with the same letter, twin names found in mythology and more!
