We only select safe, trusted ingredients
We only select safe, trusted ingredients
We carefully source raw materials from vetted suppliers who meet or exceed safety standards set by Europe and global health organisations. We never use perfume allergens¹, elemental chlorine bleaching, disperse dyes and latex (natural rubber) in our nappies. Before using any component, we thoroughly assess both its supplier and the formulation.
We assess and test our materials before using
We assess and test our materials before using
We go beyond regulatory expectations to assess and assure safety, from design through manufacturing process and finished product. We work with dermatological experts and third-party validators like the Skin Health Alliance to go beyond industry requirements. And all our nappies and unscented wipes are tested for over 1,000 controversial substances and certified according to OEKO-TEX® STANDARD-100. We conduct additional voluntary testing, including impurity screening at levels stricter than European limits, and by assessing every material for safety before it is ever used.
We rigorously assess every product or material

Our products go through multiple rounds of lab testing, especially for sensitive skin. We design our products to keep your baby's precious skin dry and protected, helping to minimize the risk of allergies or skin redness, and they are dermatologically tested.
We monitor in real time, everyday
We monitor in real time, everyday
We operate our own factories under high-quality standards, where our nappies are produced in “no-touch” lines and monitored by over 10 cameras and 200 sensors for quality and safety. Each pack of Pampers is completely traceable right back to our manufacturing sites and every day we talk with parents around the world, gathering feedback so we can keep raising our standards. This gives us the opportunity to continuously improve ourselves through feedback from families worldwide.
How Pampers ensures nappy safety through science
Pampers scientists use advanced safety methods to carefully evaluate every material used in our nappies.
In Pampers research, Pampers experts look at both the ingredients and how nappies are actually used in real life — including how much of each material touches the skin and how babies can be exposed to nappy ingredients during wear. They then combine this with detailed safety data to confirm that all exposure remains well within safe limits.
What this means for your baby
With Pampers diapers, you can rest assured that:
In short: this research shows one of the many ways Pampers ensures its nappies are safe, using rigorous science to check both ingredients and real-world use.
How Pampers Tests Nappies for Safety
Manufacturing Controls That Help Ensure Nappy Quality
Pampers nappy manufacturing process features production lines which operate to minimise any accidental contamination, ensuring the production of quality products. Checks are conducted at every stage, on every line with over 10 cameras and 200 sensors to ensure that each nappy is monitored throughout the process and is safe for your baby to use. Did you know that we take 13 million diaper pictures per day. But monitoring doesn’t end there. Our team is always ready and open to receive feedback and concerns on our products so we can continue to improve for you and your little one.
Traceability and Monitoring of Nappy Materials
We can trace all materials used in our products from the moment the ingredients arrive at our factory to the moment the nappy packs leave. In addition to carefully selecting the materials used in our nappies and wipes, we also include a batch code on every package so it can be traced back to the facility in which it was manufactured.
This process not only ensures traceability and monitoring of our products but may also provide peace of mind to our parents, knowing that they can always know where and how their baby’s nappies are made.
