Pampers® only uses 100% safe materials in its products (nappies, pants and wipes) All the materials used are subject to rigorous evaluations and strictly comply with the recommendations for safe use of substances from the EU Scientific Committee on Consumer Safety, SCCS/1564/15. Our Pampers® Baby-dry™ nappies and our Pampers®Pure Protection nappies, have also been certified by OEKO-TEX®, an independent institute that tests for undesirable substances.
    Our researchers work with paediatricians, paediatric dermatologists and toxicologists to validate the safety of the materials selected as well as that of the finished baby products.

  • Yes. The colours used in Pampers® nappies are safe, non-irritating pigments whose safety has been carefully evaluated.
    Guaranteed to be safe for newborns and children, these colours are used to create cute prints. These colours cannot penetrate the skin, even in case of contact. We do not use colouring agents dispersed throughout Pampers® products.

  • Petrolatum is a name that can sound unappealing but it is simply the technical name of commonly used ingredient in everyday lotion products, as explained by the head of Paediatric Dermatology at the CHU Hospital of Bordeaux, Dr. Alain Taïeb: “Petrolatum is nothing more than the product known under the popular brand Vaseline®, a safe, inoffensive remedy commonly used in dermatology for over 100 years”. Pampers® diapers contain a small quantity on their topsheet that touches baby’s skin in order to protect it better. The petrolatum we use is pharmaceutical grade purified, fragrance-free and may be used in total safety on your baby. Did you know? Petrolatum is used in many lip balms and baby care products.

  • The adhesive used in Pampers® nappies is safe and solvent-free. It is used in nappies to keep the nappy’s materials together and avoid leaks. These adhesives have been carefully tested and evaluated for safe use by babies. Plus, it does not come in contact with your baby’s skin when wearing the nappy.

  • Pampers® Baby-dry™ nappies, Baby-dry™ nappy pants, Pampers® Pure Protection nappies,  Premium Protection™ nappy pants and Premium Protection™ nappies do not contain any of the 26 fragrance ingredients - listed in the European Union Cosmetics Regulation – which are considered more likely to cause reactions in (allergy-) susceptible people. To note, the overwhelming majority of cosmetic users will not experience any undesirable effects associated with the presence of these substances. These 26 fragrance ingredients are: Amyl Cinnamal, Benzyl Alcohol, Cinnamyl Alcohol, Citral, Eugenol, Hydroxy-citronellal, Isoeugenol, Amylcin-namyl Alcohol, Benzyl Salicylate, Cinnamal, Coumarin, Geraniol, Hydroxy-isohexyl 3-Cyclohexene Carboxaldehyde, Anise Alcohol, Benzyl Cinnamate, Farnesol, Butylphenyl Methylpropional, Linalool, Benzyl Benzoate, Citronellol, Hexyl Cinnamal, d-Limonene, Methyl 2-Octynoate, Alpha-Isomethyl Ionone, .Oak moss and treemoss extract.

  • Pampers® products are dermatologically tested and clinically tested to ensure their softness, including on sensitive skin. Studies show that Pampers® wipes help maintain the skin’s neutral pH and are as soft on baby’s skin as a washcloth and water.
  • Yes. Whether at the playground, high chair or changing table, your child can get messy and Pampers® wipes gently and effectively clean away dirt. Although they are specially designed for nappy changes, Pampers® wipes can be safely used on other parts of the body – including the face – and during changing. They are all dermatologically tested.
  • Yes. Pampers® Sensitive wipes do not contain any fragrance. They are dermatologically tested and it has been clinically proven that they are as soft on the skin as cotton and water.
